Privacy policy

This policy explains what Metric collects when you buy a pass, join the mailing list, or read this site, and what we do with it.

What we collect

A conference about measurement should be careful about what it measures. Metric collects only what it needs to sell a ticket, run three days of sessions, and tell you when something changes.

  • Your name and email address when you buy a pass or join the mailing list.
  • Billing details, handled by our ticketing partner. Card numbers never reach our servers.
  • Any access needs or dietary notes you choose to share with us when booking.
  • Aggregated usage data about this website, with no attempt to identify you.

How we use it

We use your details to issue your pass, to let you into the venue, and to send the handful of emails that matter: schedule changes, session recordings, and the occasional announcement about the next edition.

We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with sponsors or partners. Speakers never receive attendee lists.

Cookies

This site uses a small number of cookies. Some are strictly necessary and keep the site working. The rest are anonymous measurement cookies that tell us which pages people read, in aggregate.

You can clear or block cookies in your browser at any time. Nothing here breaks if you do, apart from remembering the choice you made in the cookie notice.

How long we keep it

Ticket records are kept for as long as German accounting rules require, then deleted. Mailing list entries stay until you unsubscribe, which you can do from the footer of any email we send.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to the organising team and we will respond within thirty days.

Contact

Questions about any of the above go to the Metric organising team, Station Berlin, Luckenwalder Straße 4-6, 10963 Berlin.
